messages cannot be deleted on my xperia z2, any idea on what to do?

Are you using the stock messaging app ?

What error do you get ?

Settings > apps > all > messaging > clear data

~~The step given by uliwooly will delete all the messages on your phone so if you have important messages to save then back them up.~~

If you give us details about why you're not able to delete messages or the errors you get, then uli and I will try our best to help

EDIT : Thanks to @alexdon , he pointed me out that clearing data won't really delete all the messages on your phone. But I think it used to delete them on kitkat and jellybean . Anyways, everything's safe
