Heat may have gotten rid of the water but depending how much heat was applied it could also cause other problems to the phone. I think the best thing to do at this time is to contact Sony Xperia support and get the phone evaluated.
http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/

Ok so recently I messed up and my phone got water damaged, the stickers under the flaps are all pinky red so i know water has been inside my phone, it is working all fine except now it is stuck in safe mode, it keeps transitioning from problem to problem - first it had water or steam under the screen then i got rid of most of that with heat, then the home buttons and the other 2 on the panel didnt work (that fixed itself somehow) then the power button didnt work which it does now ( again i dunno why) but now the volume down button doesnt work but the volume up does. At the same time, my phone is stuck in safe mode meaning that even if i restart is it still launches in safe mode even when i factory reset it and turned it on while holding volume up. I think this is because the volume down so it is making me launch into safe mode in every time i boot it up. So my question is simply this : HOW CAN I FIX THIS
