Xperia Z5 unlocked in Canada

At a time when many of Sony's competitors (Apple, Motorola, HTC) and more of the mobile industry are offering unlocked devices, I find it terrible that the Z5 is not available unlocked in Canada like it is in other markets.
Unlocked devices used to be available, however I and others; as you'll see in the attached links, are discouraged by the carrier exclusive on the Z5.
I hope Sony Canada will see the light and make this device available unlocked and carrier free!

I suppose we can only hope that Sony Canada/USA make the decision that will make customers happy. I'm looking to given them $650 for their phone but refuse to be tied to carriers.

There's no news nor info on the Z5 for the US, as the Z3+ was made available unlocked on Sony's website

I sent Sony Canada an email explaining how this is a terrible decision. Can't hurt to let Sony USA know what a dumb move this is.
