Mobile Network Notification Sound

Hi all:

I posted this in "phantom sounds" thread that was moved and received zero replies

I cannot for the life of me find the setting to turn OFF the notification sound when my handset loses and re-acquires connection to my mobile network (T-Mobile). The result is an annoying system notification sound going off. When I check to see if it's a calendar event, new voicemail, etc., there are none -- it's just the phone moving in and out of service with T-Mobile. [Network service is another issue, I am addressing with Sony support].

Thanks. I did read the thread earlier. Connectivity is a separate issue, and a very serious one too. It's the notification sound that's driving me crazy (well crazier). In a mixed environment when I go back and forth from No Service to T-Mobile Service there is a notification...I can't find where in Settings --> Sound and notification to turn this off

settings > about phone > status > signal strength, what do you see?

also, what if you get a brand new SIM card? is it a nano SIM card?

Perhaps I am not being clear...connectivity is a SEPARATE issue. I am trying to address that with T-Mobile and Sony. This is simply asking how to turn off a notification sound for lost connection/reconnection to the network. It'smaddening. Putting the phone on silent is no option, how do I get calls?

[As an aside...I can no longer access SONY technical support. No Chat, No phone #'s and it says Xperia online repair is NOT avaialble for your country (United States). Is this true?]

I just got off the phone (saved number from another encounter). Here are some interesting facts:

Sony Z3 and Z3 Compact do not show up on the support pages (verified by person on the phone)
Support Page for Sony Z3 Compact (bookmarked) will not allow me to access chat -- says Online Repair not avaialble for my selected country [United States!] (also verified by the support person)

Net result of a 30 minute call was to try (for the 5th time) to repair using PC Companion. No joy...

I am sending the device to Sony for evaluation -- so I have had the handset since August and I will now be without it for a month.

Great product, great support -- I don't think so
