Hi,

I have a problem with my Sony Xperia SP phone, it shows very low RAM, even less then 100 mb while normal usage, sometime it goes to even 45 mb, and I have to reboot my phone. Immediatley after reboot it show ~350mb available but gradually (in 2-3 days) it goes down to less then 100 mb.

I tried using my phone in safe mode, but in safe mode also RAM goes down to as low as 212mb. I have updated software twice in betweek but no luck. Because of this I have to reboot my phone every 3-4 days, a big pain.

Not sure if other Xperia users are also facing the same issue.

Thanks

Messenger, whatsapp, FB, etc. They usually use a lot of ram memory. 1GB is not enough, when U want to do all messaging, internet, games...

If Your phone does not work properly with unfinnished sony firmware, try some good cyanogenmod.

High RAM usage!!

I was a great fan of Sony. But, eventually I hav started to hate Sony now. There r so many bugs in de software n though they hav been reported, Sony is just mum!!
Most annoying bugs:
1. Sometimes, all the volumes on phone (speaker, ear piece etc) get down to extremely low volume (though the volume s set to max). Whether u reset ur cell phone or do wat not, nothing s going to happen. If someone calls u, u can't even hear der voice....u can't hear ur cell phone ringing n also these volumes r totally low even on headsets. These volumes get to normal on there own n one has to wait as long as tat actually takes.
Dear Sony, do u know how annoying tis is?? Or u people just want to sit there and mint money?? Can't u people fix this small issue?? It's the complaint from almost all the users of Sony Xperia sp.
2. Pathetic RAM management: though I hav v less member of (or even zero) apps installed, the RAM memory s as low as 100MB or sometimes even less!!! My phone s dead slow. Tis also s the complaint of many Sony Xperia users. Dear Sony....hav u heard of a company by name "Micromax"?? I am sure by now u hav heard of it!! Take any mid range cell phone frm them which s having 1gb of RAM n check the amount of RAM that is free.....though tat cellphone runs on android Kitkat or lollipop, there is always 600+ mb of RAM tat is always free, though it has numerous apps installed. Hav u people gone nuts?? Y Sony ways wrong with u. U people hav got horns Bcoz of ur reputation?? U people just want to mint money?? Learn something frm micromax.
I am never going to buy any Sony products n also I'll stop my fellow people frm buying ur products.
Just fed up n waiting for Sony market to fall down!! Then at least u people will realize ur mistakes!!

Sorry to here that. By the way this is a forum for Xperia user to help other user, for your suggestions and grievances I suggest its best to get in contact with Sony Xperia support.
http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/contactUs/

1. Seem as it maybe a hardware issue that your device seems to be suffering from.
2. Not sure which Xperia you are referring to but yes low end and mid range phone tend to be slower which is to be expected. If it's a flag ship device you are using and it's still this slow then yes there is definitely a problem.

Thnx for ur reply and I hav all the rights to b so arrogant!!
Firstly, I hav posted in Sony Xperia sp community....so.I am speaking abut "Sony Xperia sp"
1. Sony Xperia sp, as I know, is a upper mid range phone and really has v good hardware embedded in it. Then y such a pathetic RAM management?? I hav paid 17000 for this cell phone a yr ago n definitely it's not a mid range phone.
2. These s no any hardware issue at all. My three friends hav the same cell phone who bought it wit my recommendation n they have the very same problem: very often low volumes and RAM management.
This definitely is not at all an hardware issue. It's the problem with the software oly!!
I need solution for these.
