Thanks for the reply alexdon but none of the procedures stated on both topics resolved my issue since i've already tried those already.. Reset phone using pc companion, and all those personal troubleshooting by others but didn't resolved the issue. Sony must take full responsibiliy of this problem since im not the only one who have experienced this.. Its a great feature but i couldnt use my 2 weeks old phone now.. Bring my trust back SONY..

hey fellow xperia fans,

about a week ago my phone went into protected mode after i tried to disable mxtp cus it didnt recognize my correct gmail credentials. i tried everything, wiping the phone thru my xperia and also resetting it thru pcc, factory reset thru the buttons, but the locked screen is still there. its always there so now i cant do anything on my phone. im hoping android 6.0 will adress this issue where we can update the c4 software thru pcc. tho im not sure about waiting till it comes out so im wondering if flashing my c4 will fix this problem if anyone knows? also, i got this phone thru an ebay seller, would they be able to help me get a replacement? or can i send my phone directly to a sony service centre? (i live in canada, BC)

Edit: looks like flash doesn't fix it according to other posts
