high android os data usage

I have a Sony xperia sp and i have my retricted data background always on and only have my mobile data on when i switch it on which is not very often as I use wifi. Ive noticed that my phone has used alot of internet data via my andriod os something like 360mb in a month! anyone have any ideas?

3. Check which app or apps have been using the data

Have you sent or received pictures or videos through text?

I have checked the above and theres no obvious reason why the andriod os is using so much data. In last 7 days its used 256mb. Ive checked all apps and i dont swns send ir receive videos or images via text
