Phew, I was worried it only happens on my device. So, I hope Sony will roll out some patch with fix of our problem and improvments of the camera

Hi, I'm using CE1 lollipop on my M2 (18.6.A.0.175), and I have an issue with performance of the device while the brightness is set to highest level. Launcher seems to be very luggish, generally the device is slower. And when I set the brightness to lowest level everything is really smooth. I did the factory reset and system repair on PC Companion, but nothing has changed. Does anyone have the same issue? Is there any solution, or do I have to count on some fix from Sony?

Hey. I just tested your supposition in the original post. Yes, i think brightness settings definitely contribute to the unreliable and buggy performance of the new 5.1.1 update. I unticked automatic brightness settings (which I had OFF all the time, only the update put it back on its own) and turned brightness level all down and miraculously all the lag, bugginess amd overall poor system speed goes away and becomes smooth. Too bad you'll be damned in sunshine or well lit offices because you won't see a thing in brightness if you want to have a stable phone performance. So yeah, confirmed and thanks for noticing it OP!

Since Sony had confirmed the update fixing the camera and GPS issues, I really hope they'll fix this problem too, it's a bit annoying, that I can't set max brightness without losing smoothness of the device.
