UNSOLVED

i give up and will try and factory reset since there seems to be no known ways to fix this

I really need help, i got a new sim card and forgot to turn off the antitheft both from sony and avg, now theres a screen that wants a password, i have tried every password i ever used but to no luck.

I then in frustration deleted my device from avg´s website thinking that would work, it didnt and now i cant even change any settings there.

I cant find the settings on myxperia.sonymobile.com to change the password or unlock my phone, and the same for avg´s site since i deleted my device.

I'm sorry to hear that but if neither MyXperia nor Android Device Manager work then you will have to reset the phone with PCC, also you should contact AVG before you do so.

Well i dont want to loose everything on my phone first of all, second pcc wont do anything as long as the screen is locked

Hi karmapolicedk

Welcome to the Community.

Here's how to run the repair on PC Companion:

Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
Phone Software Update.
Start.
Repair Phone
Continue
Accept data removal
Next
Wait for prepare
Select Phone
Follow the connection steps

And Bridge for Mac:

Launch Bridge for MAC without the handset connected.
On the Main Window select "Xperia > Repair Xperia Device".
Ensure the phone is charged and select "Ok" in the following window.
Select Continue on the following page.
Wait until the initialising step is finished the continue as below.

6 . Select your model of phone from the list that appears

7. Follow the connection steps that appear, ensuring that you are holding the relevant button down before during and after the connection phase until the update/repair begins.

This happened to me a week ago
Boot to safe mode
And uninstall avg
You can download it again afterwards

"the memory in your phone/tablet is not accessible. PC Companion must have access to the memory"....and so on and so on, basically as i wrote before PCC cant access my phone since its locked

You will need to have the phone unplugged and powered off when you start the repair process.

by repairing my phone it states that i will loose everything on my phone, as i wrote i cannot loose everything on my phone

have you contacted AVG? it's up to them to help you unlock the phone, the other alternative is for you to reset the phone, those are the only options, I'm sorry.

i have written them and gotten the reply that if i have removed my device from their site, as i did in frustration, theres is only one option: factory reset

As @uliwooly suggested, lock your phone using Android Device Manager

try to remember the password
This might help you: the password of avg anti theft is only 6 characters
So don't try to type more than 6 characters
