Deleted emails come back every day

Help. This is driving me mad, I have hundreds of emails which I delete every day and most of them keep returning, I have a Z1 Xperia Compact. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to stop this please. Tia

Hi @Babya69

Are those emails deleted from the Server too, perhaps you keep copy of them for a few days and your email client does not detect that have just been downloaded. Please, also try boot your device into safe mode as explained here and check if this issue persists in this mode. If everything works ok, a third party app its creating this problem. I´m at disposal for any question.

Are you using the default email app? Did you set up your account as IMAP or POP3?

Hi. I am in safe mode at the moment. Just deleted them again and they are back again already Grrrrrrrr driving me insane. I presume I am using the default email as I just followed the screen instructions when I got the phone 18 months ago. This problem started about a month ago and my phone has been very slow too..

I'm in safe mode, woke up this morning and the messages are back. could it be because I haven't read them as I know they are mostly junk mail so I just delete Them?

I am not sure, but sometimes it is good to clear data for email apps and set them up again.
