screen goes black when phoning

Just had a great update from Sony but when I phone my screen goes black and I had to use the pOwer button to hang up.
Anyone else have this problem

I should say it's a Sony Xperia z2 and the update was 23.1.a.o.726

Can you try settings-apps-all,scroll down to incall ui and tick show notifications?

Alexdon Notification is ticked. And uliwolly I did have a screen protector on but I took that off Wednesday and it's still doing it.
