My mobile does not produce any sound on recieving any messages (only messages not related to facebook or any app based on internet connection)as if the mobile is silent

uninstall and reinstall facebook, btw is your phone on stamina mode or on silent?

I am on satmina mode, i am sure the phone is not silent.

if you are on stamina mode then the data will be disabled, hence, you won't be getting those notifications from apps that require data

Hi gadovich,

Have you made sure to go through the Facebook notification settings within the Facebook app? There could be an option not ticked.

You can also try disabling Notifications and then re enabling the notifications.

Menu > Settings > Apps > Facebook > Untick notifications > then tick the notifications again.

You've sent me a PM regarding this, I think it's best that we have the discussion here instead.

Since you said that the problem is only related to messages received via the SIM card company, I just want to clarify (and as I understood your PM), you do have sound for Facebook/twitter e.g but not any sound alert for your SMS? Is that correct?

If you go to Messaging > Menu button (the one with three dots) > Settings > Notification tone, is a notification tone selected?

Have you tried to choose Hangouts as default SMS app to see if you hear a notification tone while receiving a text message? Settings > More... > Default SMS app.

I checked the notification tone from settings, i found a tone selected. I want to explain that this issue was not present in the past (i own this phone for a year now) so my anticipation is that i-accidently-might have blocked the phone company i belong to or something like that.so if u could help to check up this i would be thankful.
