Phone call no internal speaker

Since a few days when I call somebody I can hear only with a headset. Also when I make a phone call, I hear no dial tone. When I switch to loudspeaker, everything works. Actually I'm runing Lollipop on my phone. Any sugestions?

settings > apps > all > smartconnect and phone > clear data > restart the phone and check again.

also check if there's any dirt or grime inside the 3.5mm port

Clean the 3.5mm jack under the water or just blow inside of it restart phone and check. Also run in safe mode incase

Hi Pauler66,

Welcome to the community,

I suggest a Safemode boot, and then performing a diagnostics test on the in ear speaker, as it seems your issue is related to this and not the 3.5mm jack.

To get to diagnostics do the following.

Menu > Settings > About Phone > Diagnostics > Phone Tests > In ear Speaker.

Let us know how you get on.

Morning

test worked fine. I heard the sound, but still the same problem when I do a phne call.

Other Ideas?

i'm sorry to hear that the update failed. In this case, it sounds like you need to perform a software repair on your phone via PC Companion.

In PC Companion you press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Repair phone/tablet (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.

Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it. Note that the phone should be powered off while doing this, hold the ON/OFF + volume up(+) for 5-10 seconds and the phone should shutdown.

Hi there,

I am having the same problem. No sound when I dial out, no ringing tone, and when the call is connected, I can not hear anything from the other side.

Sounds are only available if I turn on speakers or plug in the ear phone.

I have tried running the Diagnostics but it said my in ear speaker is working fine (but the sound does not sound like it was from the speaker on the top of the phone).

I played around in the sound setting and not that the Sound on Dial Pad does not work when turned on.

Any known solution for this issue?
