Battery refusing to charge

Hi all.

Yesterday my phone was being a bit odd - charging more slowly than usual, and at one point the charge icon and green LED (the one which signifies 90%+ charged) were flashing on and off in very rapid succession. I jiggled the cable about in the port a bit which seemed to work.

Anyway overnight my phone didn't charge, and right now despite telling me it's charging it's stuck on 7%. I've tried a different cable which made no difference. There's nothing visibly wrong with the charging port. Am I going to have to send it to Sony?

Oh christ, they took about three weeks to repair my tablet.
