Bluetooth problem after update to lollipop

Hi,

I've recently updated my 6503 to Lollipop.

Everything went smoothly and is working fine, except 2 issues - one solved, second NOT.

FIRST (solved) - phone after update waked up and logged to 2G network, with no data transmission (despite it was turned ON). What was strange - my operator's network appeared in 'available network list' as separate 3 NETWORKS ( 2g, 3g and LTE) Switching manually to LTE solved it - now phone is switching between technologies automatically, data transmission is working fine.

SECOND AND NOT SOLVED: I'm using the hands-free system built in my car ( mitsubishi lancer, 2008 ) . After update, phone failed to establish connection with it, even hands-free system remained as 'associated device'. OK ... I erased hands-free system from phone, as well as phone from car's memory. Paired devices again - starting procedure from car's side. Nothing better. Erased and paired starting from phone side. Nothing better.

What I've observed more: phone after try to establish connection , phone in eye blink looses it. On list of available services of hands-free system (in phone menu ofc) , only 'phone sound' appears, while -as I remember but i'm not sure- before update more (2 or 3) services were detected .

Contact the car manufacturer regarding compatibility with Lollipop.

Its not a problem with car - everything WORKED before update, after - NOT. BT standards haven't changed.My car is the same, too.

Something is WRONG with bluetooth implementation in lollipop for z2.

Similiar problem raised NileEve today, in topic 'connecting to my car'.

Additional information to my issue: yesterday at evening phone connected succesfully to car, i was able to receive and make a call through hands-free system all the time returning home. Today everything returns to the beginning (failure). More over, i tried to manually connect to the hands free sysstem from the phone menu ( as one of the paired devices) - but without success ( in eye blink BT connection lost).

My suspicions: BT stack overflow? Stamina or similiar process cancelling link ?

Boot on safe mode and check if you encounter the same bluetooth issue

You suggested contacting Sony Xperia Support - but this is 'support forum', isn't it ? At least 3 users from different countries have same problem , could you help us THERE ?

Guys, please take note that this is a community support forum. As far as other users are trying to help, If there is out of solution.

You may want to try to contact your local support to see if there is any official solution to fix this problem that your currently experiencing.

I am also experiencing problems with bluetooth on my Z2:
- Phone connection is OK if Bluetooth is turned on the phone for " car is ready". Then I can make a call.
- Playing music on bluetooth does not work after Lollipop.

As above post, I am also experiencing problems with bluetooth on my Z2:

- Playing music on bluetooth does not work after Lollipop 5.0.2 update on my car head unit.

Previously connected and able to stream music on 4.4.4 Kit Kat with no issues, looking on web this is not a new issue with Bluetooth connection issues to devices since Lollipop came out so what the **bleep** is going on? I purposely bought a Sony TV, Car Head Unit and Soundbar to ensure everything worked together now the head unit that I only had fiitted in February does not connect which cost me £249!!!

No issues connecting to TV or Soundbar but on HU it tries to connect then disconnects and BT Audio Icon on HU display greys out although phone is connected and icon highlighted as connected. I have cleared cache, unpaired and paired again, reinstalled 5.0.2 again through wifi instead of OTA but still the same.

Car device: Sony XAV-602BT

Heh, at least you will not receive a proposal to 'contact your car manufacturer'

Dont even try to 'contact sony service center' - I tried but there is no reply.

If z2 with lollipop has a problem to work with original Sony accesories (Car device: Sony XAV-602BT) - something is REALLY WRONG.

Hopefully someone finally will do something.

Also seems to be an issue with the Sony "App Remote" which it tells me I need to download to use for media on my phone with HU. I have reinstalled Lollipop with PC Companion and all apps again for the 3rd time to no avail. Now when I connect HU to Z2 via bluetooth calls still ok and App Remote comes on automatically on phone, shows a small music connection and phone connection icon at top of HU screen but main BT Audio and App Remote icons on main screen are both darkened out which shows no connection. If I try and stream music through BT I have no sound on phone or on HU which makes me think that phone thinks its connected but isnt.

All Sony apps, all Sony software all Sony problem

Yes I did, no response from them. Was looking to buy another Sony smart TV last week but after this trouble think I will save my money and buy from another manufacturer. This has really put me off Sony products to be honest.

I havr the same issue eith my car after updating to the latest OS. It pairs succesfully but no sound transmittion at all.
Its a pain in the neck not having music or making/ receiving calls.
Somtimes affecting my business.

Forgot to mention the original sound system of my car it's a Sony as per Ford Focus Sport standard system, just to add insult to injury
