HD-Voice Codec via 3G

Hello everyone,

is it normal, that a Sony Xperia Z2 Mobile do not support HD-Voice Codec? That is a shame, oh and btw, my Network Operator Supports HD-Voice on 3G, and I have a excellent 3G coverage , and no, I don't have issues here with my network. Well, it do not supports native videocall, but at least I expect HD-Voice calling with a premium mobile. My old Nokia C7 does it also.

Yes, it is. And the old one was it too, from the same network operator.

Yes, and before I had prepaid, it worked too, even with a very old Sim Card, so my micro sim is no need to change

Ich checked that out too, it also not solves my problem. I am dissapointed of this phone, because ot is a premium mobile, so I excpect that, or do I sell a phone, without calling function? I don't think

It's a network issue not a phone issue, your phone supports that, your network might be crippling it

I am sorry, but I checked that with them, and it is not the network. Fact, the xperia Z2 has not the AMR-WB codec!

I called the Vodafone Customer Service, and the techniqcan told me that it is not compatibel to HD-Voice. So it is a problem with Sony..

So, uliwooly, stop here right now! I called Vodafone Germany, and they are saying me, that it is not listed on the supported HD-Voice calling VIA 3G! Audio Playback is for Music and youtube, which is made for playing medias. However, as I pointed it out, we can turn as much we want, it is not supported, and I will get in touch soon with the Sony Xperia Costumer Care. Voice Calling via 3G in HD is already supported from Vodafone for now more than 2.5 years.

Oh, and btw, I read, that in the Z2 will get HD-Voice, so it was strong seen a lie, so I apply to you, to answer me with the correct infos, and not just to answer just because to be the best. I am sorry, but I am so disappointed now. You did not help me in anyway.
