Update Failed - Update Not Recommended

When trying to update my z3 compact, I get the the message Update Failed - Update Not recommended during the update process when the phone shuts down. Anyone else get this?I'm using the D5833 and using the Sony MacBridge application.

That's weird, is the phone's battery at 80% or more?

Yes it is @uliwooly

I'm on kitkat 4.4, and in some instances when I connect the phone, it says my phone software is up to date, and at other times it says there's a software update available.

You might want to uninstall and reinstall Bridge

@uliwooly Thanks. Will try that. Will also try installing macbridge on antother laptop, and see what happens.
