Memory card issue

my Sony Xperia z2 SD card quit working. I tried to mount it, but after the phone states that it is preparing the SD card, nothing happens. What can I do to get my SD card working again. And then if I format the card it shows and mounts automatucally, and then again if I copy any stuff, and open apps like vlc or utorrent, the apps gets slow and then the card gets unmounted. The card is a SanDisk 64gb class 10 sdxc.

@uliwooly I'm currently using another 32gb class 10 SanDisk card, and it's working all fine with the memory card being full, and all apps working and nit even lagging!

@phy I did use it on safe mode, and the card shows but there aren't any apps that can run and show whether it's working rightly or not!

Perhaps the SD card it's defective.

I agree with @Phy, if reformating the SD card doesn't solve the issue, then you should try to return it.

May be your 64GB card is fake, actual storage of that card may be much lower than 64GB

Hi everyone.

I too have a problems with my Z2.

After the update my SDXC 64gb card is being corrupted after couple of weeks of use.

From the moment it is corrupted all data save on it are damaged.

After using widnows scandisk problem is solved...until next corruption.

I'm afraid that this can damage my SDXC card.

Maybe everyone have something like that.

First sign that Z2 is corrupting the SDXC card is information about photos.

When you are checking information you have only size.

No other information....

Can somebody investigate this?

You might want to reformat your SD card, perhaps an app its creating this issue or the SD card its fake.

I was formatting it a couple of times but problem was still coming back.

Problem start to happen afther the update.

Before that I had no issues with SD card

Test another SD card or test your SD card with another phone.

Hi everybody, this morning before bringing in in class, my phone which was 80 % of battery, I have it put out and since it does not flare up again any more
Be that anybody has already had this problem?
