Z1 Compact Screen Always On - Is That Normal?

Hi All,

I have recently noticed that my Z1 Compact screen never completely turns off.

When I press the power button to put the phone in standby, the screen remains (very dimly) lit. This is only noticeable in the dark, and does not seem to cause any major issues, just curious to know if this is normal. I've never noticed this with any previous phones.

The battery life is still better than previous phones too, so I'm not too concerned, but wonder if it would be better still if the screen shut off completely when not in use.

Anybody else noticed this? All wisdom welcome.

Boot your phone into safe mode and see if you are still having this issue.

In my Z1C I don't see my scrren is lit in completely dark room.

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines

This should not be happening, the screen should be black when the power button is tapped. This issue may be related to a third party app.

I suggest going through any apps and make sure to check the settings, there may be some setting that allows the screen to dim only instead of powering down completely.
