display doesnt turn/lifelog doesnt work

Hi, does anyone know why the display.doesnt turn?its set up for automatic turn but doesnt work. Also life log did count the steps only First day since than (nearly 2wka doesnt recognize when im moving or how far i go)any suggestions?thank you

A friend of mine suggested to do restore setting...do u think it might help?

No, ive tried so many times but havent managed to put the phone in safe mode:/

Press power button, tap longer on turn off. A message should pop up saying to restart in safe mode. Tap ok.

I have tried and not working...even factory settings didnt help.

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

Thank you for your advice, but Im not IT person:/

I have just PC companion in computer and you said to make sure pc is not connected to computer. Im lost:/ Probably will have to take it the sony store and hopefully they will fix it.

Thank you, I will. The only problem is i bought it in Czech Republic but live in London. Hopefully it wont be a problem.

I managed to do repair as you said, but it didnt help either. I guess the phone is faulty. But I have been told that the phone wont be fixed in UK cos it wasnt released here. Have to take it back to my country. But thank you for your help.
