&lt;P&gt;Dial *#*#7378423#*#* in phone pad &amp;gt; service tests &amp;gt; select touch screen &amp;gt; Use your finger to check every part of the screen like given in the screenshot below.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Alternatively you could download "Xperia Diagnostic" from play store to check the same.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;After doing the same, do take a screenshot like above and post it here. If some part of the screen still doesn't respond to your touch then go for a software repair using PC Companion ( steps below) although such problems are always related to hardware issues.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;"&gt;Launch PC Companion &amp;gt; Start Support zone &amp;gt; Start Phone/ Tablet Software update &amp;gt; select&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN style="font-size: 8pt; color: #0000ff;"&gt;Repair my Phone / Tablet&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #000000;"&gt;&amp;gt; Follow the on-screen instructions it shows.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Unresponsive touch screen</title>

      <description>I recently discovered that a certain part of my touch screen does not work. I have restarted my phone and I have done a force shut down. Nothing has worked. I have not dropped the phone so I don't know what the problem could be. Please help!</description>

      <description>Hi.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks a lot for all the help. I did the screen test and there is definitely a part of the screen that is unresponsive. Don't know how to add the screen shot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Will try a phone repair on pc companion when I'm at home.</description>
