the power consumption

I spent a week watching how my z3 consumes power. At first i thought it was the data transferred that causes the major consumption, but i came to a fact that it was the screen.
So how can I reduce the power consumed by screen cuz it only giving my a hard time spending the whole day beside a power supply to charge the phone...

That is normal. The screen consumes a lot of power.

Okay, but how to reduce it? Also is it normal to wait 3 hours to fully charge my phone?

The more you use the screen. the faster the battery will drain, there's no way around it, you could disable x reality or super vivid mode under

That's normal it take 2.5-3hour to full charge from 0-100%

Hello, I am facing some issues with the battery life.

With screen used the phone only last 4 to 5 hours... Isn't it supposed to be more? It is just doing surf and mails... no gaming.

Am I facing a battery issue?

I already had an issue with my previous phone not being waterproof..

Thanks ambassador، it seems that even the live wallpaper takes alot of energy... I sat my wallpaper a total black pic , it reduced the usage to 40%...

@Alexmartins which background apps have you got running in background? Your SOT should be about 9 to 10 hrs if you use Sony stamina mode.I get about 8 hrs SOT out of mine,but I use a third party app instead of the stamina mode.So my data doesn't sleep

I do use stamina mode.

Now I also started using ultra stamina mode because the phone was not lasting long enough...

I don't have lot of background apps running.

I will try different settings...

Just wanted to know how much with screen on I was supposed to last since I don't manage to get more than 5 hours and it seems very low compared to the specs provided by sony...

If I don't manage to have more than those 5 hours I will provide my stats so you can tell me if it is normal or not.

I get around 4 hours with 30% for the display...

so maybe another process is killing the battery.

is it normal that if I sum all the activites it is not 100%? maybe not all activities are shown.

Maybe if I manage to have 60-70% with display I d get more hours...

Try this: put a black pic as a wallpaper and lock screen pic, reduce the screen time out to 15 sec, set the x reality engine off..

Alex 30% for screen is low mine is always around the 67% mark.Take a screen shot of your battery usage in power management
