cannot delete transferred messages.. help please!

Hello all,

Just got my first xperia z3 a couple days ago and have been loving it! I used the PC companion to transfer pictures and notes from my old iPhone 4s and although I unchecked messages it seems those came along too. No big deal, however when I attempt to delete them the message app freezes, then when I try to reopen it the screen just goes black and I can't access my sms messages at all. If I restart my phone I can access my messages again and send and receive texts no problem but if I attempt to delete the messages the problem continues. This issue does not happen with deleting the conversations that I started off my xperia. If anyone knows how I could delete these messages I would seriously appreciate it!!

@arsgag are you using a third party app or the preloaded messaging app?

You could try this

settings > apps > all > messaging > clear data > restart your phone > try again.

Preloaded app. I attempted what you suggested and its... Halfway working. Very short convos from the iPhone will delete but any long ones or trying to delete multiple convos at once does not seem to want to work..

That's quite odd, what if you boot on safe mode and try again
