magnetic charging issue?!

I bought a magnetic charging cable and using the same adapter that came with my z2... But the charging is slower... It takes around 4 hrs to get from 15 to full!! ... On the other hand... The usb cable takes around 3 hrs and 10 minutes.... So is that normal??... And could it damage the battery or it's lifetime?...

That's normal, a Dock or magnetic cable will take longer to charge. l

I agree with uliwooly on this, charging your device on a dock/magnetic charging cable can take longer as it charges the phone wirelessly rather than directly charging it. This will not damage the battery or the life expectancy of the battery as long as you are using Sony original accessories

Still,I have read (on the forum) that original sony dock will charge as fast as directly through adapter and cable. 3rd party magnetic chargers however charge slower.
