SMS box freezes when receiving SMS

SMS is one of the basic features that is fully integrated and has now been made faulty by the latest software from Sony.

When someone txts u and u try to read or answer the SMSbox freezes. Please treat this with urgency an release necessary patches.
Also note this also affects the telephony function. It delays getting up latest calling list and does not allow u to place calls.
I am surprised this software went to market without proper testing
Also receiving txts from iphone gives mutiple copies of the same message even though not sent. This may be a fault introduced by the Network but Samsung user dont see it.

Ps I have worked with mobile telephony all my life and this is an all time low.ds
Pps I had the Z1 and moved to Z2 since battery life was destroyed after 6 months of use. I did not bother to complain then but unless Sony gets the above right I will leave Sony for good dds

How about if you empty the messaging app and also clear the app data

settings > apps > all > messaging > clear data > restart the phone

I forgot to ask, are you using the prelaoded messaging app?

any taskillers or antivirus?

ram apps, booster apps?

third party home launchers?
