Hi,

My phone has couple of problems

1. When I put for charging by turning it on, after a while say 15 min it stops charging n hangs but led indicator would be glowing, I have to restart the phone by holding power n volume up button.

2. If I keep phone idle for more than 30 min, it switches off automatically.

3. Some times it restart automatically

During all these above scenarios phone back would be heated so much. I think bcoz of this heating issue, it's switches off.

I have tired repairing it through Pc companion but of no use.

Please let me know what to do. It's just 2 weeks old phone. Can I go for replacement?

Regards,
Balakrishna

Hello

I have a new M4 Aqua Dual. I noticed the device seem to go into permanent sleep with Stamina Mode ON. This resulted in the phone having to be reset with either reset button next to SD slot or holding Power+Volume keys.

I have since tested the device with all power saving modes OFF and it seems to be working fine without a glitch since

Is there any known bugs? I would hate to think that the power saving modes cannot be used

Br/

Khovi

I just got my device on last Friday (4 days ago) My device worked perfectly for 3 days, but on Monday morning (yesterday) my device began turning off very aggressively. It seemed like I was restarting it every 30 minutes.

I did a factory reset, reinstalled all my apps and updates, and the problem came back.

I booted into safe mode and the problem persisted.

I turned off Stamina mode and the problem persisted.

It continued to do this every 30 minutes or less, until I tried one more thing.

Since my last reply I uninstalled the updates for "What's New" and "Video" under the Apps menu in the "Settings" app.

Seems like the problem has gone away. It has been a couple of hours with no restarting.

I will report back if the problem comes back again

.

It hadn't crashed but I decided to run a software repair through PCC utility for good measure.

When I set it up again I updated everything (including "Video") except the "What's New" app.

And I disabled automatic updates in every place where apps update themselves.

It went from crashing 2 or 3 times per hour to crashing just once in 4 hours, after I uninstalled the update for "What's New".

The last time it crashed was before the "Xperia Lounge" app updated earlier, about 6 hours ago. Then I did the software repair in PCC.

My guess is it could have been either or both of those apps causing the crashes. If it crashes again I'll be stumped as to what it could be.

Like I said, it hasn't crashed since 6 hours ago. I'll report back if it crashes again.

If I don't post in this thread again it means my problem has been solved.

I was reading the other subforums and official people said bad SD cards and bad SIM cards can cause random shutdowns. Nobody mentioned that in this thread. I didn't try running it without my 5 year old SD card, before I sent it off to be replaced by the carrier. Maybe it didn't need to be replaced, maybe it was my old SD card. If the next one has the same problem I'll try it without the SD card.
