Hello everyone, I started with windows mobile phones made by HTC in the mid 2000's, been through many Motorolas, and then went onto Apple until I sold my last one my 5s. The z3c I have owned since 10/14 has been the most reliable and durable phone for me to date. My z3c is used regularly outside in subzero temps, its been in a jacuzzi, pool, and washed in the sink countless times. It has survived a 3 foot drop onto ceramic tile. The only protection on the phone is a screen saver on front and back. All this and a phone that scores 22000 on the quadrant, 46000 on the antutu, and 19500 on Ice storm unlimited benchmarks. You gotta love the mighty z3c

Thanks, the only precaution I take is occasionaly I use a Q-tip to clean around the seal for the usb cover and its good to go.

Okay, time for some positive news on this forum Most people only post here when they have a question, problem or dropped their phone 😛

Although I have taken some damage precautions (soft case, insurance), my Z3c has never been dropped, and has never been under water, so it is used as any "normal" phone should be. I can't tell anything about its ruggedness.

I received my phone in the beginning of last december, so I'm using it for 2,5 months now, with great pleasure and no issues at all. Updated to firmware 23.0.1.A.5.77 a few weeks ago. Besides the outstanding benchmark performance, the battery lasts very long, charging on the Sony dock is nice and easy, voice quality is superb, bluetooth communication with my carkit is working flawless, it has the best FM radio on a phone I ever had, etc. etc. I'm very happy with it.

No surprise for me that Android Magazine chose it as the best top smartphone 2014.

Update...

Today my Z3c dropped from 50 cm. height on the floor, and landed on the front screen. It's protected by a Muvit Minigel case.

No damage at all, so still zero issues.

Now waiting for Lollipop to be rolled out in the Netherlands, see what it brings...

Greetz.

The only problem i have so far is that there is no option to transfer the applications to memory card, i love to play high quality games and it eats up my device space, i hope sony will do something about this

I love mine z3c too. 99% perfect device. Only thing that bouthers me is a low speakerphone volume in calls, but i can live with that (hope that sony team will improve it in some of next firmwares).

Yep, this phone is close to perfect. That's why I am concerned about the Lollipop update. I hope it doesn't make it slow and unresponsible.

I have a Google Nexus 7 and the update to Lollipop has been a disaster. To make it usable again I had to fiddle with the settings to disable animations and many other things. Add the dreadful migration of all email accounts to the pathetic Gmail app, the lack of a native app to look at pictures without subscribing to Google+ and basically my overall experience is that Lollipop is only good for Google, not for the end users..

I really hope that the Z3C Lollipop update is released only when it is fully tested and works flawlessly. I want a great phone, it doesn't matter if the Android version is not the latest.
