Camera problems after Lolipop update and 60 fps on 1080p

Need help! After updating to Android 5 Lolipop, back camera doesn't work! When I press button to make a picture, it is just freeze and do nothing, but front camera works fine. How can I fix it? I did factory reset, trying to update my phone again, and nothing, still the same problem

Yeah! I run PC Companion and using recovery, after some time, it reupdated my Lolipop, but I still have the same problem! Also I don't have "close all" button, maybe I should use update for another region, cause Im in Moscow?

No, no, no! I used PC Companion and update only when my phone said, that he is ready to do it. I din't use other programms, just Sony's PC Companion.

Also, I need to say, that when I bought my phone at the last week, it has Android Kitkat and camera works perfect! After update I put cover glass to front panel, I don't think that it can be so harmfull

How about trying another camera app by downloading from play store and see if you still have same problem.

Yeah! I got the same idea and downloaded "Camera360 Ultimate" from Market, I heard this is most popular app for camera and HAVE THE SAME THING!

Front camera is ok, but main camera don't want to take pictures too, that's made me really sad

hello everyone .. I want to ask .. ?? I got the lollipop update in my Z1 compact and have a problem with the camera .. The choice (video recording 60 fps) is not written with 60 framesjust like the option says but with 30 .. that option tells that you have the abillity to recorde with 60 frames video just like z3 and z3 compact , and again it is the same with the choice of 30 fps 1080 p..what is the problem .. ?? should i blame the update. ??. how can l solve the problem in order to operate normally the 60 frames video 1080 p .. ???

Does this mean there will be another full Lollipop download or once someone downloads and installs the first Lollipop update they will find a smaller update to Lollipop that will fix the camera issue or any other issue that they have fixed since the initial update?

I haven't updated my phone, and after reading all the issues people are having after the update from Kitkat to Lollipop and the bad luck I had with my old phone after updating the operating system I am glad I am sticking with what works.

Yesterday Rickard posted an official statement about the 30/60 fps bug.

According to this, Z1C shouldn't have the option to shoot 60fps anytime in the future, so the only solution to this will be just deleting this extra option from the menu.

I dont know why the 60 fps will be delete as new features, because now in kk if you choose to record video in hdr (I dont know well the differences between hdr and normal mode) well, in this option the video recorded is in 60 fps... The Hardware is totally capable to record in those fps...
Sony may think that a happy user with any Sony mobile is a future buyer, instead of seems like pretends to user with "old" z1 will buy a Z3... It is an error.

this is a shame .. Different developers of custom roms use this option .. and sony can not achieve that.? ..the solution would be corrected this problem not be deleted .. Z1 Compact is fully capable to support video on 60 fps..disappointed..!!!

May be devs don't have time to test and implement new features for older devices. So we are being informed that our device is not capable of those features. 😞

If this is the case then I think they should hire temporary devs (e.g. from xda) to work on sony's older devices.

Hello. I'm Updated smartphone to a new version of firmware. Launched the camera in manual mode, said recording FullHD 60 fps. I see the properties recorded video. And there is the frame rate of 29 fps. Why?!
