AAC streaming over bluetooth

hello,

I cannot find an information if Z3 compact is able to stream over bloothoth AAC for high quality audio. My headphones do not support aptX, but support AAC. It is said that Apple uses AAC while Android exploints aptX for high quality audio over bluetoogh. But it is not said that Android does not support AAC. So can i get a help on it or i shall sell my headphones?

HI,

I don't see why the Xperia Z3c couldn't playback high res over bluetooth. Both hardware and software are require in order to enjoy high res audio.

Such as this speaker, SRS-X9. It should work well with the Z3c; I don't see any reason why android will not support altho not really much info that we can get from the web.

Hello,

it did not say Z3 can't play hi-res. Apparently it can. It has aptX codec for bluetooth streamin. This codec is inteneded to provide hi-res audio over bluetooth. However it is not the only codec. There is also AAC codec which is used for example in iOS for delivering hi-res audio over bluetooth. My question is if Z3 is also able to deliver high-res audio over bluetooth using AAC. Because my head phones do not support aptX and use AAC
