Broken Xperia Arc S, how to access micro sd card on pc??!!! HELP

Hi guys, my Xperia Arc S has died in a sense. The screen is completetly black and is not working. I think the rest of the phone is fine (internally). I would like to access my sd card contents on my pc, but it is not letting me do that. When i mount it and open the SD card it just has to icons saying - Customized Capability, and Default Capability. Im unsure what to do, as I have many personal photos on it which I would like to retrieve before getting my phone repaired. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Put your card in your Pc and then open a command prompt then type the drive letter of the card followed by : so for example f: then hit enter then type chkdsk /f then hit enter - If that fails then try a free program like Recuva my personal favourite is Spotmau but it is a paid for program

Hey thanks for the idea, but I have already tried that but it hasn't worked. I put my microsd in a Sony m2 adaptor but I don't it was recognized properly.
