SD card Corruption

Greetings,

This morning my alarm went off and all I heard was the song mixing up with 3 other songs and repeating, when I picked up the phone there was a yellow warning message saying something about not unmounting the SD card before removing it.

I then went on to storage to find the SD card not there, music and pictures are gone. To test the phone I tried another SD card and it worked, also connected the SD card into a card reader and it was not recognised on the PC.

My question is, what could have caused this corruption and is there any way I can recover the data?

It might have been an app messing with your system. Try recuva and see if the app manages to recover some of your data.

Thank you for your feedback, I have not downloaded any new apps for the past 4 months or maybe more.

I have done some search but no apps under the name recuva.

I see, it did not prompt to install through Google playstore. I will keep checking.

I really prefer to only install apps from the Google playstore...

That app is to be installed on your computer,not phone.

Alright then I will give that a shot, still my computer does not recognize the SD card when inserted.

Didn't work, PC Companion is not recognising the SD card nor is the PC, could not restore anything.

I also tried entering the directory of the external memory but the app didn't find anything.
