Camera SOS

Two questions regarding my Xperia z camera:

1. Not happy with the quality of the pics my camera is taking. Can I update ONLY the camera app on my phone?

2. The camera is not allowing me to choose options such as HDR or focus mode even on Manual mode. What can I do? Tried clearing out cache but it doesn't allow me to clear it out either.

Help!

You could try other camera apps, but my suggestion is to use Manual mode instead of superior auto

Change the resolution from 20mp to 8mp
