"sim card not inserted" error appearibg constantly on xperia l

I am usibg my xperia l for the last five months. It had been fine. Hoqever in the last two weeks, i constantly get the error saying sim card not inserted and the sim symbol with x on top. I ve tried to realign my sim.properly and have even changed my sim. But the problem persists. It happens randomly when the fone was workibg just fine. Pls help

Do you have a micro SIM card or did you trimmed it?

This may also be related to hardware, if a replacement SIM does not work, and it has not been trimmed down, then you may want to contact Sony Mobile Customer Care. They should be able to help.

I am having the same problem last 6 weeks eventhough I have the phone over 2 years now. Have you found any solution for this problem? It seems it is happening in the area of low or no gsm signal (unfortunatelly location of my office).
