No Sound picker for Experia Z1

I can no longer access the sound picker from my phone? Whenever i tried changing my ring tone it pulls up the file commander.. There used to be a prompt for the sound picker.. How can i fix this?

Hi shuy_anne,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

This sounds like you have chosen a default app. I suggest you do the following.

Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Sound Picker > Tap Clear Defaults.

Once this has been done, simply try assigning a new ringtone.

Try this.

Menu > Settings > Apps > Press 3 little squares on top right hand side > Press Reset App Preferences.

This will stay greyed out, you should however be able to choose Sound Picker now in the list?

hi,

i have read all 6 massages regarding the same topic. i have tried out resetting the apps. however, it istill gives "unfortunately sound picker has stop working."

i dont know what to do more. even i can not see the notification sounds in my phone. all are disappeared. after getting lollipop update, a start facing this problems. i am using xperia z1 c9603. please advise.

Try this:

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Sound Picker -> Clear cache and restart your phone.

I tried all. and come with solution by resetting to factory defaults

now everything is fine.

I have also lost access to the Sound Picker since downloading the latest OS updates. I no longer have a ring when I receive calls or a sound notification of SMSs. I have followed all the suggestions above, also with no success. I hope Sony will soon correct whatever they have done to the OS.
