Hi!

So today while i was washing my hands someone called, when i lift my phone to answer it slips from my hands and into the sink. It didn`t hit anything hard but stayed in the 15-20 cm water for like 5 seconds. I pick it up answer my call, stay on phone for 5 mins, then i open chrome for some surifing, the screen starts to flicker and then the phone shuts down. When i tried to open it first time it vibrates once and nothing.

When i open the flaps i see that the water indicator on the sim and usb side is red. When i turn the phone with the usb side downwards, some water drops fall.

Now (after 3 hours) when i press the power button in vibrates then the sony logo apears for a moment and the 3 short vibrations.

I know that this is water damange but does the warranty covers-it?, or (i saw on some websites) some people say that after some time their phones start working.

So should i send it to warranty?

I mention that the flaps were closed shut.

Update:

So i shok the phone on the side with the usb port, and some water droplets fall.

After that i hit the power button and the phone turn on normaly.

The touchscreen works fine, but there is a large portion of the screen where its darker (water?) and the camera has a white layer on the glass.

Its there something i can do to fix this?

I had the phone for about 5 months not wanting to try it under water then gave in to try it. made sure all the flaps were closed and into the pool it went for maybe 20 seconds when I took it out the screen started acting up etc, minute late the phone was dead.

Sent it in to sony and was sent back because it has water damage. This is pathetic support as i know it has water damage, I would like to know why the phone that was suppose to be water proof wasnt waterproof, and why the warranty doesnt cover that after i was told that it does....

My friends damged his Samsung with water they replaced it no Questions asked, why are we not recieving the same from sony. absolutely ridiculous.

I mean this was there flag ship at the time.

Wil never ever go back to sony again

Obviously this means sending it off again but hopefully it will be worth it.....incase you do not know the Vacuum Test determines if your phone is indeed waterproof with the flaps tightly closed, if it fails the test with the flaps closed then water is obviously getting into your phone elsewhere & you have a faulty unit.

Good luck :smileysmileythumbsup:
