sim card problem

Hi.... I have a Sony Ericcsom Experia Ray phone and I am using it since 2012 August withuot aproblem but since few days that phone indicating as my Sim card is not in the phone, but actually sim card with it, I used to change the sim card and still having same massage as sim card not there, Then I go for a software update and still no positive result found, Anybody could advise why this happened and what would be the possible remedial action for the such problem..?

If you have tried different SIM-cards but the phone is unable to read them, it may be a hardware problem which needs to be examined and fixed by a technician at an authorized service center.
