If you contact authorised service centre they must give you some kind of response.

Screen touch is not working because digitizer is also broken. You can operate your phone using USB mouse through USB-OTG cable.

It looks that you may accidentally put bending pressure on your phone so it cracked in the half. It is very possible in back pocket. Sometimes in front pocket with shallow pockets too. You can bend the phone for example while tying your shoes.

I broke my screen by sitting on the phone while it layed on the bed...

Anyway, Sony may or may not fix it under warranty. In most countries if you send the device to authorised service centre you will get a quote for repair. If you say yes they will fix it (if they have screen in place or you will have to wait for a while). If you say no most service centres will charge you for manipulation and diagnosis costs. Check them first, so you will not be disappointed if they decide to void your warranty.

Mysterious crack

Hello,

I have a crack on my display; it occured without dropping the phone or doing any other harm to it. It was just regularly carried in my trousers' pocket; it always had the original and one additional protection foil attached. Suddely the crack was there.

The display functions, but it doesn't react on any inputs. It even came back from a warranty repair just a few days before.

Can this be handled by warranty?

Best regards
