Hy everybody ,when my phone rings and i answer my screen suddenly is black and my on/off button doesnt work

Is it black when you hold it to your face or if you answer the call when the phone is for example flat on a desk

I am holding the phone in front of me and i am trying to tap the screen to add another call or mute. But is black and i have to push several times the on.off button to wake the screen.

Looking at the phone with the screen in front of you the sensor is top left of the Sony logo.....

No its not covered at all,is there anywhere a setup or something? Because i cant find it

If you type in *#*#7378423#*#* this will take you into the Service menu......press Service Tests & scroll down to Proximity Switch, press this then you can test if it is working & let us know :smileysmileythumbsup:

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

By chance do you have a Screen protector or case on the phone? if you do can you test without these on the device and let us know the outcome?

By chance does the cover have the cutout so that it does not cover the sensor......if it does cover it then you could try with it removed, did you try the Proximity test
