Hi, unfortunately i have the same issue.

It seems that the camera glass cover was already at that state from the factory.

I didnt pay attention immediately and after 1,5 monthes of use decided to visit Sony official service centre in Moscow (Russia) where i was offered to wait 2 to 3 weeks to diagnose and repair, 7 years old worn out change cellphone with need to change SIM card twice because of different form factor...

So I refused and now also interested how can it be fixed?

You can also try a little bit of nailpolish remover to rub off the damaged coating, but use only just enough to make the cloth or cotton bud a bit damp. You will get a bit more lens flares when the coating is completely gone, though.

You can also order a new back cover from somewhere, the camera glass is in fact a part of the back cover. But you will need a tutorial for replacing the back cover because it's not simple. Keep in mind that any DIY fix is likely to void your warranty.

@Liran ... did you manage to go to a Sony Xperia service center to have it checked?

I am curious about this as I know exactly what you are talking about. This has happened to my old Xperia Acro S....and now, in my Z3 Compact, I can tell that it is starting to happen again too.

In my old Xperia Acro S...the way I "fixed" it is to just to pick up a piece of cloth...cotton (smooth) and dip it in water and rubbed the lens with it. I liternally did it for about 10 minutes non-stop! It did not remove the "film" 100% ... but it did clear up a good portion of the camera glass cover and took great pics again.

I know this is not the solution...especially if this is happening in a flagship device...that's why I'm curious what the Sony Service Center told you about it.

Keep us posted.
