I can not update from Android 4.3 to Android 4.4

Hi,
I can not update my smartphone from Android 4.3 (Launched version) to Android 4.4 (Latest version).
I am from Mexico City and my carrier is Movistar.
Could someone help me or tell me when that version will be available on my smartphone?

You can manually flash another country's firmware however to answer your question - Before generic handsets get the update the networks have to all authorise the update, I'm not saying they have to release the update but they do have to authorise it - Then Sony will be authorised to release it to generic devices - So if it hasn't been released to you then this is either a country or network issue in that it hasn't been authorised for release

Contact Telcel and ask about the update, it seems that in Mexico even unlocked/SIM free phones have to wait for telcel to approve and release the update.
