I've had the phone about 6 months and only this last week or so had the issue. I've tried a number of sd cards, including ones I've used before that worked fine, but no luck.

Through settings- storage.. I can see i have about 4 gb of photos and videos, the sd card currently in there is 16 gb and It shows up on the screen..but when I click on the transfer to sd card button nothing happens.

I didn't have much internal memory left, so I've deleted loads of apps and files I didn't need, so currently have just over 1 gb of internal memory free, deleted all cache from apps, closed all apps etc, but still no response from the button.

I've searched online, could find sd card problems and solutions, but not this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes, this is the first time I've transferred to sd since the recent android update though, I think. I hardly had an internal memory left, and was thinking for a few days it could be the reason (I was getting the warning, not much memory, could effect some functions message) I've deleted a lot now, fully restarted phone, but still no luck.

Just to add, when I press the button, the strip of grey at the bottom turns black, but no messages. If I go to notifications there's no sign it's trying to process something.

I've got about 3 gb of edited photos that are showing in 'miscellaneous' on internal memory .. In the past I've used a file manager to move to the photographs folder so they'll transfer to sd. Like I say though there's about 4gb in photographs/video folder that are ready to move.

I had feeling it was something to do with memory being so full, as I'd never let it get this full before.

I'd tried with a couple of different apps . One called FX. And was getting a message saying unable to copy. But..just trying with' file commander ' cut and paste one of the picture folders and it looks to be working! I don't think I'd tried this app lately.

Thanks for the tip. I'll move a few more folders over using this, free some more space and see if that solves issue with the button. Thanks

I've transferred about 3gb over to card now using file commander, so that's fine, free'd up plenty of space.
The button In storage menu still not working, but I'm happy to just use the file commander in future if that works.
