Z3 Compact Lockscreen Issue

After working with the phone for a while, when I push the power button to make the phone sleep, lockscreen pops up instead of phone going into sleep with a black screen.

This causes problem when you do not realise such thing and you want to put your mobile back into your pocket. With the lockscreen active, while putting the phone back, if your hand touches the screen, the pattern or pin is wrongfully keyed in an the phone locks itself for a while. It becomes a headache if the phone is unlocked with a pattern.

has anyone had the same issue?

That sounds very strange. Could you check if the same thing occur in safe mode?
