Can someone advise me what alternative charging dock i can use for the Z1 compact. Seems the D32 it not available now.

Yes, I bought one of those from Amazon. It has a fairly strong magnet but is still too easy to dislodge it from the phone if moved too much but is preferable to levering out the side panel to plug in the micro USB plug every 2 or 3 days to charge the phone.
