Sony Walkman is the only music player on my Z Ultra, the music files were coverted from CDs using Sony MediaGo on Windows 8.1 based machine. Album art and song titles appear correct in album's original language on Windows Media Player.

I recently updated the Walkman app to 8.5.A.0.6 on my Xperia Ultra. After I executed 'Download music Info' I found the music info was screwed up big time. In the past there were very few mistakes, or some of the album cover image was not available. They can either be tolerated or edited with ease. I am using English language interface on my phone. English and French titles were relatively unaffected. Except a few of the Album graphics were incorrect, for example my previously okay cover graphic of 'The Ventures 28 Original Greatest Hits' became a Junk movie. Most annoying is more than half of my Japanese titles turned into their English phonetic translations. Traditional Chinese titles were turned into Mainland China Putonghua English phonetic equivalents. The first thought came to my mind was Sony music info database was probably hacked by commies. From an earlier response I learnd that the database job was outsourced and I must point out the music info was mostly correct in the past. The mistakes are too extensive for me to edit one by one. If this is a 'new feature' that intentionally tailor foreign languages to the phone language interface I suggest Sony better provde an option allowing user to choose language preference. It **bleep** every time I look at my album list, the titles looks so alien to me.

Best

vr2xgm
