Hi,

So I'm working on my XPeria Z2 when 2 weeks ago the headphones stopted working. I have tried everything but nothing works. So I have just installed an app so I have to select the audio output myself all the time. Very anyoing and stupid!

I tried this morning a last solution => repair with the Companion software from Sony itself (I wish I had never done that!!!!)

After the companion software downloaded the files, shutdown my phone he asked the plug it back it while holding the volume btn down (Flashmode). When I tried this nothing happend, phone didn't turn on and setup on the pc did not continue. So I just hit cancel. Than thinks get from bad to worse. Now no pc on earth is detecting my phone anymore when plugged in. As well, I do not get the charge symbol anymore. It's like the phone is not connected to anything.

I aswell tried to boot into flashmode myself but I just get a rapid RED and GREEN led and then nothing. The only think that is working is to start in Bootloader modus (Yes, I have unlocked the bootloader modus because of the error with the headphone jack)

This phone is 2 month old and I got nothing but problems with it. So please can you give me a working solution for this????

I tried costums roms but since I can't get into flashmode anymore I can't do anything.

Thanks for the help,

Mikhael

Thanks for the fast reply,

I installed the Emma tool. But as I mentioned above, my phone is not entering flashmode anymore (vol down) I get a fast red and green led and then nothing anymore. So this Emma tool is not helping me either.

As I mentioned as well I unlocked the bootleader just to try and fix the headphone jack problem.

I aswell tried to flash a new stock kernel with fastboot but even fastboot is not detecting any device. What means that the phone is not detecting any pc data connection.

Is there any way I can contact Sony for repair or replacement? For the price of this phone I really except it that is working correctly.

Thanks

EDIT:

I as well found out that the phone only charges when I turn it of, even when I use an adapter (official and other adapters tested)

If you have the drivers installed then you have an expensive brick (Hard brick)

Also if you are using a 64bit system or Win 8/8.1 then find another Pc to use running a 32bit system

I tried with windows 8.1 and 7 yes, same result. Atm I don't have a 32bit system.

Why is it a hard brick? I still can use the phone when I boot him up. Nothing wrong then (except for the headphone jack and since yesterday the usb plug that is not working anymore)

Thought you said it didn't boot up

If it still boots up then the issue is the bitrate of your system and a driver signing issue or the drivers aren't installed hence the issue of flashmode and fastboot

I tried my phone on my 3 pc's at home and 7 pc's at the office and on non of them the phone responses.

The problem is that even the phone is not charging when connected to the pc. So I don't think it's a driver issue because that it would charge anyway.

I tried just charging the phone with a wall plug put even that is not working. The phone just gives a fast red and green LED blink.

Thanks for trying to help btw

Sorry but I've tried to help but it appears you have a different issue to what would have been caused by a bad update or bad flash and as you have unlocked your bootloader then I'm afraid you may have voided your warranty and so any chance of a repair may have been lost

I know I made a void, but I did this because I wanted to repaire the headphone jack problem in the first place. Because for that problem no one at Sony responded on my emails
