xperia zl mic problem

The microphone doesn't seem to work at all on my Xperia Zl, so I cannot make any calls at all, and the speaker for calls doesn't work either so I cannot speak anyone. Is the problem of software or Hardware. Anyone know please tell me... if it is hardware i will go for mic replacement..

You could repair your phone with PCC if that doesn't work then repair your local Xperia Care

I got the same issue with xperia ZL and currently with support center.

And they are replacing the "mother board" and the ONLY solution available for this problem.

They are aware of this issue and they know the only solution is this. They admitted the same too.

If you are out of warranty you are gone. First they say they will do a software repair ( 99.9999 % is not the solution )

Then they will say either mother board replacement or refurbished phone for 80% cost (depending on warranty).

Last week only I visited and discussed with the service center people exactly for the same issue.

My suggestion is, it will be waste of time of using US and PCC or factory reset. After making all attempts, I have reached support center.

Will see whether they will resolve the issue or not.

So hurry up to Sony service center.

When you connect a headset, can you hear and can others hear you?
If so, then try repair as suggested.
If after that it does not work, then take to service centre.
I too had a wifi dead issue and PC Companion repair resolved it. There is no scope for assumptions in technology.

it is already in service center.

customers will be happy if issues gets resolved with PCC or US or with just reset.

You will not find complients against service center here.

I have seen many are facing exact same issue with the same xperia model.

This prooves that devices are sold with bad hardware.

It is totally hardware problem.. today i repaired it from cell repair shop (only 30 minutes of time) not sony service center.... Dont go sony service center ..its horrible.

support of ZL stopped long back by sony. so visiting to sony service center and expecting part replacement is of use.

try some where else like big service centers where they can take care of phones.

if it is under warranty, then contact service center. you may get xperia Z as replacement depending on months of warranty remaining.
