Transfer a csv contact file into xperia/ pc companion

Hi,

I just got a new xperia z1 compact phone. My old samsung was destroyed, but I have a backup contacts list saved on my PC computer. I cannot find a way to import it into my xperia/pc companion. Is there a way? I have it saved as a csv file and as a vcf file.

This seems like a no brainer but I can't find out how to do it. Please help, I am without any contacts until I can accomplish this.

A lot easier, on your computer > access your Gmail > contacts > import contacts > upload the file > then sync your contacts with your new Phone.

Hi marjibar,

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

You could always connect the handset to the PC and simply transfer the CSV file over to the phone. It is usually done by accessing

Start > My Computer/Computer > Double Click on Phone > Select Internal Storage > Paste CSV.

Disconnect USB cable and then do the following.

Menu > Contacts > Menu button > Import > Select From Internal Storage > Select All > done
