Message settings crashes Z3 compact

Hi,

After two months of using my xperia z3 compact i have decided I am going to change my message ring tone and turn off vibration for incoming messages. After entering to messages and pressing setting button application crashed and it is no way to change my message setting. Same is happened to phone editor, this also doesnt work only when I turn off wi-fi or mobile internet connection. Can you give me some instructions how to solve this problems please?

Settings-apps-all-messages,force stop and clear data. Restart. Before this,backup your messages.

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

If the instructions do not help, then I suggest trying a software repair on the device, However I do suggest that you backup the device first using PC Companion.

1. Download the PC Companion software from PC Companion and install it on your PC.

2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.

3. Phone Software Update.

4. Start.

5. Repair Phone

6. Continue

7. Accept data removal

8. Next

9. Wait for prepare

10. Select Phone

11. Follow the connection steps

Hi, thanks for your help. I have solved it other way. I reset my phone to the factory settings and everything is alright except that photo editor app which is still working only when I turn off any of Internet connections.

Hi. Please help. Eversince i bought z3 compact for my sister, it always had a problem of crashing and wont open. She used it for 3days without problem but not inserted a sim because it wasnt cut yet. After that, before she slept battery was 20% and woke up the next day without her phone responding. Thought it was just battery dead so she charged it. For 30mins it didnt charged at all. She went to sony center in the philippines to reboot it, it work for a couple of days but still crashing everyday. And if it happens, she cannot turned on the unit. When she managed to open it, i advice her to restore to factory settings. It worked again then after few minutes, it crashed again. What really seems to be the problem? I bought it here in riyadh then hand it over to her in the philippines. Please help
