topic No Video Sound in XPERIA archive

Unlike most of the posts I can find here about no sound on recorded videos, my issue is a little different. Some of the videos from my old phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 3) have no sound on the Sony and other videos do have sound. I downloaded the VLC player app as this is a very good player on PC and Mac that plays multiple formats and codecs very well. However even this will not work on the Sony. I was a huge Sony fan years ago, but left the brand after one of thier PS3 updates that had to be done stopped a Sony licensed third party wireless controller from working. Already reading these forums, seems they have not changed their priority of fixing faults very well, Wish I had of read this formum before buying this phone outright for the 4K video functionality. Fingers crossed that Sony gets it together or the Samsung is coming back out of retirement.

Paul

Melbourne

Australia

Try using MX Video player and check if there is sound(Play with settings in MX player, enable disable H/W and S/W rendering).
