Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help me retain my sanity here.

I love my Z3C, but i've had a constant problem with it since I got it.

I'm on O2 uk, and live in what should be a good signal area - never had any problems before.

Most of the time i get at most 3 bars of signal - showing around -95dBm.

Whenever I try to make a call though, the bars do a wierd thing, they start at 3 or 4, then drop off. More often than not to the red cross (no bars), then sometimes they come back.

I also don't seem to be able to recieve many calls - i just get the 'blah tried to call you at 21:00' message by text, then i need to find a good signal spot to ring them back.

I'm hoping this is a firmware issue rather than a handset issue - might not be though as i seem to be the only person that's having it...

Help? advice please!

Thanks all.

M.

I too have this kind of problems. Outside, I get at most -95 dbm, inside, -105, -110. I switched to WCDMA / GSM. It helps. But my girlfriend has a 4 years old rather cheap phone, with the same carrier and she has better reception than me.

I have Android 5.0.2 (23.1.A.1.28)

Hi.

I have exactly the same problem. I am on O2 UK.It started after lollipop update.I had very good receptiion at home on Kitkat 4.4.4. I am pretty sure thats lollipop issue.I read many posts about people having the same problem after lollipop update.I hope the next update will fix it.

I have noticed something similar with EE. From the same spot, at home, I can see 1 or occasionally 2 bars (-107 dBm 32 asu) if I use LTE or 4 bars (-83 dBm 13 asu) if I switch to WCDMA/GPS.
I'll try this at work, where there are a strong wireless network and see if it makes any difference. This is where in fact, I noticed the problem with the reception of my handset.
